Inspections
BSCP carry out many structural inspection surveys of large buildings at one end of the scale to domestic properties at the other. Site investigation works are undertaken when necessary. A small proportion of this work is linked to our expert witness activities.
Our surveys often include onward condition monitoring of the works to ascertain the root cause of the problem.
Expert Witness
BSCP has undertaken expert witness work for many years through several generations of management. The practice employs ten chartered engineers, many of whom are capable and have experience with expert witness work. The Company is registered with the Law Society's official list of expert witnesses from which source the majority of our expert witness appointments derive.
The practice strengths have always rested in its broad base of clients and wide range of differing types of work, rather than becoming specialist in one particular area. The practice is widely experienced in all kinds of civil and structural engineering projects. With additional experience in GRC cladding, software writing and reinforced earth projects the practice is well placed to offer opinion on a wide range of topics. What may be of particular relevance to your litigation is the fact that we are also qualified to say when we are not able to offer the required expertise in your particular problem. We will not hesitate to step back from appointments which we feel we would be unable to do full justice to in terms of the advice we are able to give.
