BSCP OPEN NEW OFFICE IN THE SOUTH

From today the 4^th of February 2010, BSCP (part of the GHA Livigunn Group) will be opening the doors of a new office based in Watford, Hertfordshire. Heading the Southern division will be Mike Nettleton from the BSCP Leeds office.

Baxter Ireland, Divisional Director for BSCP comments ‘We recognised the opportunities available to serve existing and new clients more effectively in the south. We felt this warranted the group to branch out further and open an office in the Southern region. In the current climate this is a positive expansion for BSCP and the GHA Livigunn Group as a whole.’

1. GHA Livigunn is a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy providing a wide range of engineering solutions for projects across a broad spectrum of market sectors within the built environment from its offices in Cheadle, Frodsham, Leeds and Watford.

2. Formed by the merger in 2006 of George Hutchison Associates (GHA) and Livingston Gunn Projects, the group was further strengthened by the addition of Birkett Stevens Colman Partnership (BSCP) in 2009.

3. The company currently employs 100 staff in the UK with a group turnover circa £8 million.

4. A developer of 3D visualisations for projects as varied as costal defences, high voltage sub-stations, water treatment works as well as chemical and pharmaceutical plant applications.

In 2008 GHA Livigunn received The Institute of Structural Engineers (IStructE) North West Regional Structural Awards for Small Project and an Engineering Excellence Award from The Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE) in recognition of their design for Top o’ th’ Cow service reservoirs, located outside Bolton.

In 2009 GHA Livigunn received the RoSPA Silver award for Occupational Health and Safety, The Construction News Quality Award for Hodder Service Reservoir and an ACE commendation of Engineering Excellence for Ashton-Under-Lyne Wastewater Treatment Works.

BSCP JOINS CHESHIRE BASED GHA LIVIGUNN GROUP

GHA Livigunn, a leading North West based multi-disciplinary engineering design consultancy with
offices in Cheadle and Frodsham, has today joined forces with Birkett Stevens Colman Partnership
(BSCP), a Yorkshire based civil and structural design consultancy. The joining of the two
companies brings together a professional workforce of over a 100 with a group turnover in excess
of £7 million and reinforces the commitment to the growth of both companies in the UK, a
significant statement of intent given the current financial climate.

For the immediate future, GHA Livigunn and BSCP will continue to trade and operate under their
existing identities, offering all existing and new clients a full range of services from the Frodsham,
Cheadle and Leeds offices. Current BSCP directors Frank Parkinson and Glyn Jones will take this
opportunity to retire from the company but will be retained as consultants to the business.

Mark Ingram, GHA Livigunn’s Managing Director, said: “This is a very exciting time for both
companies and this merger will strengthen our position in all of the sectors we currently serve,
particularly in water, education and food retail. Having created one of the country’s largest

agreeing to take on the role of Divisional Director responsible for the Leeds office.”

practices in the North of England. Based in the commercial centre of Leeds the practice has
